About

Code of Morse

Proudly Canadian, we believe art can change the world. "If you love it, if you believe in it — wear it!"

The Morse Saga

RG Morse is a genuine Artist of Life. After attending the University of Oregon on an art scholarship, he staved off starvation by working as a Norwegian housepainter, an American climbing guide, a Swedish liquor salesman, and a Pakistani diplomat. All while continuing to paint.

Seriously.

Morse has authored nine books (five of them published to-date), and is the recipient of The Friends of Canadian Broadcasting’s prestigious Dalton Camp Award. He has recorded an album’s worth of songs, and is the host of a long-running radio show — Radio Free Kaslo — the tiny, isolated British Columbia mountain village where Morse, his wife and two dogs live, and serves as the World Headquarters for Code of Morse!

Trivia About Morse & Code of Morse

Morse's song, Let's Get Naked in the Kootenays, is the (highly unofficial) anthem for the spectacularly remote region where he and Code of Morse are located.
Every Code of Morse item features an original work of art by RG Morse.
Code of Morse clothing and accessories are made on demand. You order it, we make it. There's no mass production, wasteful inventories — or AI — involved!
We believe everyone deserves to be an Artist of Life — and that looking the part is a start!

Why we’re different

We're dedicated to the proposition that boring clothing is... boring. And that the Canada of the 21st century is anything but!

Attention to Detail

Every item we make is carefully designed to provoke a smile, cause a conversation — or both!

Experience

We literally live the Kootenay lifestyle — we hike & climb, kayak, mountain bike, and jump into the lake as often as possible — we're about as classically Canadian as you can get!
